In light of the dynamic development of laser technology in the treatment of oral diseases, medical universities are obliged to actively participate in teaching laser therapy. Currently, European dental students have limited access to laser therapy training hours, despite its effectiveness being confirmed in numerous scientific studies. There is an urgent need to create academic centers that will provide reliable and verified knowledge to future users of dental lasers, based on scientific evidence.

To meet these needs, an integrated laser therapy teaching program at the academic level has been developed, resulting in the creation of the postgraduate program - European Master Degree in Oral Laser Applications (EMDOLA). This specialized program is implemented at six medical universities in Europe: in Barcelona (Spain), Liège (Belgium), Timișoara (Romania), Parma (Italy), Rome (Italy), and Wrocław (Poland).

The curriculum at each of these universities is uniform, ensuring a consistent and high level of education across all participating institutions. Lecturers from each university are invited to give lectures at partner universities as part of the EMDOLA program, further enhancing the quality of education.

Upon completing the program and defending their final thesis, graduates have the opportunity to join the International Academy of EMDOLA. This academy promotes continued collaboration between the academic staff and lecturers from various universities, facilitating further scientific development for postgraduate EMDOLA graduates.

The EMDOLA program is an ideal solution for those who wish to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of laser dentistry, utilizing modern methods and technologies. Through international cooperation and an interdisciplinary approach, students have a unique opportunity to learn at the highest level, preparing themselves to become leaders in the field of laser dentistry.
